AWS x Firemind fireside chat
on Web3

On Thursday 17th November, Firemind teamed up with AWS to bring an exciting Fireside discussion on the topic of Web3. Checkout our full insight below, where we look at the topics, speakers and summarise the night, as well as showcasing the highlight video and image gallery.

Introduction

The term Web3 has been floating around the web for a number of years now, and a new iteration of the world wide web has become a reality with concepts such as blockchain, NFTs and token-based economies taking root. Giving power back to users through decentralised, token-based economies and cryptocurrencies.

Firemind were keen to explore how identity, property and connectivity can successfully scale products, solutions and services within the ecosystem of Web3. So what better way to delve in deep than invite a number of high calibre speakers to discuss the topic with a wide variety of Startups based in the UK.

The Speakers

We were joined by four prominent speakers in the Web3 space, each openly discussing ways in which Web3 is evolving, how it’s users needs are changing and how they see scalability and adaptation to the new form of the ‘www’.

First we have Lauren Ingram, helping agencies and brands to win in Web3. She’s a marketing & communications expert with over 11 years of experience, passionate about the intersection of creativity, technology and inclusion.

She’s led Facebook’s women’s programme #SheMeansBusiness for EMEA in the Global Business Marketing Team and has become a passionate D&I supporter, driving equality and equity in the world of work.

Sid Shekhar was our second speaker, simplifying the technical with his experience as a Blockchain Research Manager at Coinbase.

Adam Simmons was next up Adam is the Chief Strategy Officer at Radix. He is a serial entrepreneur who founded a video platform to compete with Twitch and a crypto analytics company that aimed to index the blockchain for search.

Finally we had Valentin Vincendon, the Chief Product Officer at Copper. He recently joined the company in that role, and before that he was the VP of Strategy for Checkout.com.
