summit Mount Snowdon
October 2022 and the adventurers of Firemind headed off to Wales for one of the top team events this year. We took up the gauntlet to summit Mount Snowdon, in between the peaks of rain and heavy winds. To the summit
On Friday 7th October 2022, the adventurers of Firemind headed off on a weekend trip to the Snowdonia National Park, in search of the summit of Snowdon. Standing at 1,085 metres (3,560 feet) above sea level, Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales as well as being the highest point in the British Isles, outside of the Scottish Highlands.
Rather than taking the train route up, our intrepid explorers began their ascent, taking the Snowdon Ranger path. This route is quieter than many alternative paths to the summit, but offers a challenging set of weaving zig-zags that steadily climb in angle and difficulty.
The challenge defeated a few of our brave team, due to injury and unwanted factors, but the remainder battled through aches, pains and loose gravel to reach the summit! This was our first organised weekend away as a company, and it certainly won’t be our last.
Between the hike, evenings by the fire pit, meals in the local pub and camping games, the entire team had a fantastic trip away, one that won’t be soon forgotten.

Trip highlights
As well as the climb, the team spent the weekend camping, swimming in the beautiful Llyn Cwellyn reservoir, and exploring the villages of Betws Garmon and Salem. Here’s some of our favourite pictures from the trip.
